Man of the Match, Lockie Ferguson says he thought his team was 15-20 runs short. States his team started well and he wanted to put the pressure on, so getting the wicket of AB de Villiers was good. Mentions he worked on his bowling plans and wanted to keep things simple. Credits his teammates for putting in an excellent performance and winning this game. Gives clarity on his plan to get AB de Villiers' wicket by saying that he knew the South African will go after him and luckily it went into Manoj Tiwary's hands.

Pune skipper, Steven Smith says that it is nice to get a winning streak going. Reckons that he had no idea what total was safe on this wicket till the halfway mark. Feels that they were 10-15 runs short after looking at the firepower the Bangalore batting line-up possess. Credits Imran Tahir and Lockie Ferguson for their brilliant performance tonight. Appreciates the latter for maintaining the pace and bounce throughout the game and ends by saying that he is a really bright prospect for the future.

Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli says they lost the game and it's hard to stand and talk after such a loss. Admits that they just have to take it and move forward. Mentions his players are afraid of getting out and aren't playing well as a result. Thinks that the team that qualified for the finals last season should do better this season too. Adds that despite the fact that their playoff qualification isn't in their hands, they will want to do their best in the remaining games.
